A notorious drugs cartel has turned to "incinerators" and "brick kilns" as a way of making people disappear, government reports claim.
The Sinaloa Cartel, formerly ran by convicted drugs runner El Chapo, who is rotting behind bars on a life sentence, is employing kiln owners to dispose of their enemies.
One brickyard in particular, allegedly owned by Juan Contreras, is operated for the purpose of making enemies of the cartel disappear, likely through incinerating them.

Intelligence reports from the state government show one Erick Lara, a boss within the Sinaloa Cartel, was confirming orders to take bodies and people to the kiln.
Official investigation so far has claimed the brickyards are being used as a way to dispose of bodies and prevent relatives from finding their missing loved ones.
Their alleged incinerations see bodies disposed of and brick kilns used as makeshift crematoriums, putting a stop to police searches, Milenio reported.
The Daily Star previously reported news on former members of the Sinaloa Cartel, with notorious former leader El Chapo putting a request in with a judge to see his wife.

El Chapo, real name Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera, put in a bizarre request to Judge Brian Cogan and requested his family be allowed access.
He wrote to the judge and explained his wife would be available for parole on September 13, and should be allowed to visit the prison after that.
Explaining his daughters would be "studying in Mexico", El Chapo requested his daughters, both 12-years-old, accompanied Emma Coronel, his third-wife, to the prison.
Whether Judge Corgan grants the request is yet to be seen, but it is not the first letter El Chapo has written to the lawmaker, with a previous letter moaning of strict prison routines.
