As the temperatures plummet and the nights draw in, thousands of travellers will be looking for a getaway to escape the cold and catch some winter sun.
This beautiful town on the southern Spanish coast gets nearly 10 hours of sunlight a day, even in the dead of winter.
While many Britons immediately think of the south of Spain when picturing sunny shores, Manilva outside of Málaga is often overlooked by tourists.
The municipality harbours the picturesque villages of Sabinillas, Puerto Duquesa and Castillo while the actual town of Manilva sits just inland.
The area offers stunning beaches, even during the winter, and makes for a perfect place to watch the sunset.
But perhaps one of Manilva’s best features, temperatures can rise to the mid-20s even in December offering travellers and escape from the winter chill.
Early next week, the temperature will reach a balmy 22C on Monday and Tuesday with lows of just 15C.
The temperature then drops some but remains mild in the mid-teens for the foreseeable future.
Manilva itself makes for an incredible getaway with few tourists especially compared to nearby Málaga.

History lovers will be excited to learn that Castillo de la Duquesa dates back to Phoenician times, before even the Romans.
In 1530, the Duke of Arcos encouraged people to settle in the area and Manilva was founded in the relatively new Kingdom of Spain.
The area has now become a wine-producing region and travellers can sample several varieties grown from the local Moscatel grape.
The seaside villages a short distance from Manilva town offer accommodation and restaurants on the seaside without the overcrowding of typical Spanish holiday resorts.
Manilva is less than a three-hour flight from London – plus a one-hour drive from Málaga – making it a perfect weekend getaway in December as the UK winter approaches.
