The C3X is said to be a high-riding sedan based on the same platform as the C3 Aircross.
Citroen is gearing up to expand its C3 range with a third model, the C3X. The new “high-riding sedan” has already been spotted testing in India a few times. A new spy image now provides a glimpse of the car’s interior.
The C3X is based on the CMP platform and is the size of a mid-size sedan. The interior is likely to be similar to the C3 Aircross. The latest image reveals an almost identical dashboard featuring a rectangular touchscreen infotainment system in the centre and vertical air-con vents on either side.
The exterior design looks familiar as well. The C3X could feature styling details similar to the C3 Aircross. These include an unconventional-looking front fascia with split headlamps. Spy images suggest that the flap-type door handles will be carried over as well.
Under the bonnet, the C3X is expected to get the same 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine as the other models in Citroen’s range. This engine develops 108 BHP and 189 Nm and could be offered with manual and automatic transmissions.
