One month before her death the late Queen Elizabeth II allegedly made a comment about Meghan Markle which left everyone at a palace reception speechless.
A source told The Spectator that the 96-year-old branded her grandaughter-in-law as "evil" after the Royal Family's relationship with the Sussexes hit an all-time low.
It was during a reception at Balmoral in August 2022 when the Queen allegedly made "out of character" comments about the Duchess of Sussex.

The source claimed: "It was out of character for the Queen to use such a word as 'evil' to describe Meghan, but she saw straight through her.
"It was a startling sentence to hear from the most forgiving woman on earth. At the drinks before the dinner, a small group were talking to the monarch and she explained that Harry meeting Meghan had become a complete catastrophe and described her as evil.
"By this point, we all knew the Queen’s health was in decline and she had months left, she seemed regretful about how things had panned out."
During several controversial TV appearances and in Harry's memoir Spare, the couple have since made a number of serious claims about their time in the Royal Family.
Harry's memoir further strained the relationship with the Firm as he detailed his own feelings of alienation as a royal and made more bombshell allegations.
This included the infamous claim that his brother Prince William hit him during an argument over Meghan.
Despite her claims about the Royal Family, Meghan has always spoken highly of the Queen and said that the pair enjoyed a “lovely and easy” friendship.
"The Queen has always been wonderful to me," she told Oprah Winfrey in the couple's sit-down interview.
"I've loved being in her company. She's always been warm, welcoming, and inviting."
