Fire crews have been called to Luton Airport as a massive blaze has broken out at a car park.
Horrifying images posted to social media show flames tearing through the multi-storey car park. As many as 12 vehicles have reportedly been burned.
The fire has now also sparked travel chaos as flights have been suspended. People have been told not to travel to the airport.
Luton Airport said: "All flights are currently suspended as emergency services respond to a fire in Terminal Car Park 2. Access to the airport is currently restricted and we ask that people do not travel to the airport at this time."
One X (formerly Twitter) user who shared a video from the airport described the situation as "scary scenes". They added that the car park was "exploding in flames".
Multiple fire crews and police officers have now arrived at Luton Airport to deal with the emergency. Would-be holidaymakers have reportedly been evacuated from the terminal.
It has also been reported that the road running alongside Car Park 2 has been blocked off, meaning buses and cars cannot enter or leave the terminal.
The Sun reports that planes that were due to land at Luton have instead been diverted to either Stansted Airport, East Midlands Airport or Birmingham Airport.
