{"id":121107,"date":"2023-11-14T11:59:16","date_gmt":"2023-11-14T11:59:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/yourclomid.com\/?p=121107"},"modified":"2023-11-14T11:59:16","modified_gmt":"2023-11-14T11:59:16","slug":"travelers-stunned-to-find-hostel-is-inside-an-ikea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/yourclomid.com\/travel\/travelers-stunned-to-find-hostel-is-inside-an-ikea\/","title":{"rendered":"Travelers stunned to find hostel is INSIDE an IKEA"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Canadian traveler is left stunned after arriving at Austrian hostel to discover it was located INSIDE an IKEA store &#8211; and even boasted a rooftop bar on the top floor<\/h1>\n<ul>\n<li><span>Jess Braun is traveling around Europe, documenting\u00a0her travels on TikTok<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>She filmed her hostel in Vienna &#8211; which\u00a0was located inside an Ikea store<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span>Users were stunned by the hostel &#8211; with the video going viral<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you can&#8217;t get enough of a Billy Bookcase or the Malm collection &#8211; then this Austrian hostel is perfect for you.<\/p>\n<p>A group of travelers were both thrilled and surprised when they arrived at their hostel in Vienna to find it located inside an Ikea.<\/p>\n<p>TikTok user Jess Braun posted a short clip of her Ikea hotel experience after staying at the Jo&amp;Joe Hostel.<\/p>\n<p>In the 14-second clip, Jess showed off the multi-level homewares store, which is on the two upper levels of the store.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/18\/77740943-12743665-Jess_pictured_and_her_travel_companions_were_staying_in_Vienna_s-m-36_1699899106105.jpg\" height=\"860\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jess (pictured) and her travel companions were staying in Vienna, surprised to find their hostel was located IN an Ikea<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/15\/77740925-12743665-image-m-5_1699888741832.jpg\" height=\"969\" width=\"634\"><\/p>\n<p>Jess showed their journey to their fifth floor hostel, weaving their way through the store to reach the entrance\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>She filmed them arriving at the store, and weaving through the lower levels of levels amongst customers walking through the showroom, before arriving at their destination.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;When your hostel is literally inside an Ikea in Vienna,&#8217; Jess wrote on the video.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Honestly being one floor above the Ikea food court is a 10\/10 rating from me,&#8217; the excited traveler enthusiastically captioned the clip, which has been viewed over 1.2 million times.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/i.dailymail.co.uk\/1s\/2023\/11\/13\/15\/77742925-12743665-image-a-23_1699890292799.jpg\" height=\"378\" width=\"306\"><\/p>\n<p>Jess (pictured) has been documenting her travels online<\/p>\n<p>According to the Hostel world website,\u00a0 Jo&amp;Joe, located on top of the H\u00dcS at Vienna&#8217;s Westbahnhof is the world&#8217;s first inner-city Ikea, located on the fifth and sixth floor of the Swedish store.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;[There&#8217;s also] a beer garden on our 1800m\u00b2 roof terrace on the 7th floor with bars in converted shipping containers,&#8217; the website continued. &#8216;Sounds amazing? Yes it is!!!&#8217;<\/p>\n<p>As per the website, the trendy hostel offers private rooms, dormitories, and atypical configurations.<\/p>\n<p>The rooms range from $53 a night for a bed in mixed dormitory to\u00a0 $640 a night for a private bedroom that sleeps 10, as per hostelsworld.com.<\/p>\n<p>TikTok users were stunned &#8211; and excited &#8211; by the prospect of staying just an Ikea-issued-paper-tape-measure away from having Swedish meatballs at their fingertips.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;That Ikea was the highlight of my trip,&#8217; one user enthused.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;This was my FAVORITE thing during my backpacking trip!! I spent forever searching for the elevator outside,&#8217; a TikTok user wrote.<\/p>\n<p>One TikTok user had some inspiring words for all guests wanting the Ikea experience.<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;All Ikeas are hostels if you are brave enough,&#8217; the pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>Although it&#8217;s not an Ikea hotel, but rather a hostel in top of an Ikea, there is an Ikea hotel for any lovers of the Swedish furniture giant.<\/p>\n<p>Located i<span>n \u00c4lmhult in Sweden, the hotel open in the 1960s but has since had several expansions, going from it&#8217;s original\u00a025 rooms to 254.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The rooms are simply furnished with &#8211;
