Spain, Portugal and Morocco to host World Cup with games also in South America

A high court in Spain has ruled that a bakery must pay a fired employee £20,000 after the employee was “wrongfully terminated” for urinating in mixing bowls — and being caught on camera.

The Telegraph (via Yahoo) is reporting that the Neucroissant bakery — located in the Catalonia region — acted “unlawfully” when they terminated the employee.

The employee, whose name has not been released to the public, brought the lawsuit after she was fired back in 2018.

The woman was caught committing the egregious act on the bakery’s CCTV footage, and the footage was placed there by a private detective agency hired by Neucrossaint.

According to the bakery’s lawsuit, the woman peed in the bowl, then dumped the remains in the sink, rinsed the bowl with water, and “depositing it with the rest of the clean utensils that were later to be used in production tasks for the consumption of customers.”

But the high court discovered that there was no designated rest area for the employees, meaning the employees had to make do with whatever and whenever.

What’s more, Spain’s law strictly forbids CCTV cameras in areas intended for employee “rest and recreation,” including bathrooms and changing rooms.
