Deadly Storm Babet has brought chaos to the UK with unrelenting rain and winds already taking the life of one person \u2013 and it is set to be replaced by snow in some parts later today.<\/p>\n
New satellite imagery shows exactly where it will fall, and when. The bulk of the icy snow blast will hit in Scotland, which has already seen huge flooding and evacuations of certain areas.<\/p>\n
The surrounding parts of Inverness, through to just outside of Edinburgh, are going to be the most impacted, with the snow starting to appear just after midday today (Friday, October 20). According to WX Charts, snow could be falling at a rate of 1cm per hour, before being replaced by even more rain shortly after.<\/p>\n

Parts of Scotland are already under a rare red weather alert, which forced hundreds out of their homes in an evacuation plea sent just hours before the storm hit. A woman has since been killed by the storm, which brought "unprecedented" amounts of rain overnight.<\/p>\n
The 57-year-old was pulled from a river in Angus, Police Scotland confirmed. She was pulled from the Water of Lee at Glen Esk around 4pm yesterday \u2013 there has, so far, been no other casualties reported. Other parts of Scotland were hit just as hard by the storm, with Aberdeen's sea turning into a "foam tsunami" .<\/p>\n

The rest of the UK has been placed under a mix of yellow and amber weather warnings, with London, Cardiff and areas around Plymouth, Brighton and Portsmouth seemingly the only places managing to avoid the torrential downpours.<\/p>\n
The amber alerts are in place for most of the centre of the UK with Nottingham, Manchester and Newcastle included. The Met Office: \u201cHomes and businesses are likely to be flooded, causing damage to some buildings, and fast flowing or deep floodwater is possible, causing danger to life<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a possibility that some communities will be cut off by flooded roads, and delays and some cancellations to train and bus services are likely. Spray and flooding will probably lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures, while power cuts and loss of other services to some homes and businesses possible.\u201d<\/p>\n
