Among those, Partridge was preaching to was the daughter of a chicken farmer and the dedicated vegan was laughed at when she likened the plight of baby chicks to household dogs.

She defiantly continued to make her point, however, despite staff members warning they were going to call the police, before eventually leaving.

Her YouTube post reveals how she was met with some hostility after entering the restaurant, declaring the place “smells of death”.

Partridge was told by a several people that they didn’t want to see the footage. and wanted to be left in peace to eat their meals.

“I’m eating my chicken,” one man is heard telling her.

She then had a chat with the chicken farmer's daughter, who said she believed there was little she can do to help out the chicks, but Partridge advised: “You could stop eating it. You think there’s nothing you could do but there is because if you stop eating it, you stop buying them, it will stop them farming chickens.”

The customer then replied: “So you’re quite happy to force your opinion on other people?”

Partridge’s video next sees her ask two men eating a KFC: "Do you like dogs? Do you have a dog?

"Do you like your dog? Would you like it if your dog was taken to a slaughterhouse, body chopped up into pieces? No-one would eat dogs, why?” she asks them.

“Because it’s weird,” she is told. She replies: "It’s weird because you’ve been conditioned to think it’s weird.

"You know a chicken’s only four weeks old when they’re murdered. “Still tasty though,” replies one of the men.

The video, which was posted on Partridge's YouTube channel at the end of May, has been viewed more than 8,000 times

Speaking to LeicestershireLive, Partridge said: "If the police did arrive I’d have tried to make them go vegan too. More people are waking up and seeing the truth which is great, but more people need to see what’s happening out there.

"I won’t give up doing what I’m doing. It’s so easy to go vegan these days.

"It’s 2022, there are so many alternatives out there – you don’t need to eat chicken or any other meat. They get treated in shocking conditions and it’s wrong.

“I was nervous, as it was the very first thing of its kind that I’d done in public. But I was doing it for the chicks.”
