Woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann is not real daughter of Polish parents

The Polish woman claiming to be Madeleine McCann is "definitely not" her supposed parents' biological daughter, according to the private investigator probing her claims.

Julia Wendell, 21, is currently living in a safehouse in the US after receiving a number of death threats and has been whisked out of her home country.

She previously amassed over 1million Instagram followers after posting "evidence" to suggest she might be missing Madeleine, who vanished in 2007 aged just three during a family holiday to Praia da Luz, Portugal.

Dr Fia Johansson, a private detective and self-professed medium who is probing Julia's claims, previously said her mum and dad are refusing to take a DNA test.

Julia's family in Poland have denied her claims. They have also apparently blocked her phone number.

Dr Johansson and her team have been in Wroclaw (the city Julia supposedly grew up in) where she said they found no hospital records for Julia relating to the first five years of her life.

Now, the investigator is confident Julia is not who her family would have you believe.

She told RadarOnline: "We are still conducting an investigation but Julia is definitely not the biological daughter of her parents in Poland.

"We have a lot of evidence right now that shows Julia was definitely trafficked to Poland from another country by an international sex trafficking group."

Dr Johansson also revealed Julia has sent off three DNA samples for forensic analysis as well as a genetic test to establish her ancestry (something akin to 23andMe).

If they show she is British, Dr Johansson will continue looking into the Madeleine case. She previously said Julia could possibly be another missing person.

Julia has claimed she does not remember large parts of her childhood, and that she was never treated as part of the family by her parents or siblings.

She also said she was abused by a German paedophile who resembled a one-time suspect in Madeleine's disappearance. She supposedly found a family photo of that man in an older relative's house.

Other "evidence" she has put forward includes a speck in her eye like Madeleine and her allegedly overhearing her mum admit to "taking" her.
