This is a chilling moment a man shot and killed his daughter's ex-boyfriend when he tried to break in the family's home.
James Rayl, 22, showed up at his former girlfriend, Allyson Duckro's home unannounced in Sydney, Ohio, a year and a half after they broke up and attempted to shoulder his way in the property.
A doorbell camera presented to a jury at Shelby County showed the jilted man, who wears a baseball cap, blue hoodie and grey T-shirt, opening the screen door and trying the door handle a few times.

Rayl then throws the weight of his body against the door, trying to bust the deadbolt lock and forcing his way in.
But behind the door stands Allyson's father, Mitchell Duckro, who can be heard warning him: "I've got a gun!"
Rayl continues to slam the front door and that's when Mitchell fires three shot at him and forces him to retreat.
He eventually collapses around the corner of the house right in front of the garage.
The 22-year-old was shot in the left shoulder, right shoulder and back.
Later, neighbour Jeffery Hereford walks across the front of the family's home, saying: "Don't shoot me."
He checks on Rayl and the says: "He ain't got no gun."
Allyson told her dad during a 911 call: "Dad, there's nothing you could have done, you saved my life."
The grand jury at Shelby County Court decided not to charge Mitchell Duckro, they voted 8 to not to indict him based on Ohio's "Stand Your Ground" and "Castel Doctrine" laws that allows homeowners to use lethal force when threatened.

Neighbour Mr Hereford disgreed with the jury's decision, saying: "If he entered the house, why did he shoot through the door."
Rayl's sister, Jessica Marie Colbert, said her brother should not have been killed.
She wrote on Facebook: "Mitch Duckro shot him in the back and killed him.
"I hope your days are more miserable than they've ever been. You're a disgusting excuse of a human being along with your daughter."
