A man drove into multiple people, injuring several of them, at the regional airport of Cologne/Bonn in western Germany, broadcaster NTV reported on Friday citing a police spokesperson.
The man also drove into several cars, German news agency dpa reported.
Police said there were indications that the man had mental health issues.
The man drove towards people in a targeted manner, but they could have avoided him, said a local police spokesman.
No one is in danger of life, the injuries are mostly minor. The 57-year-old driver was arrested and is in the hospital. He is believed to be mentally ill.
The spokesman said: “He apparently drove towards several cars and pedestrians, who could probably avoid him.
“We are currently talking about several injuries.”
Two police officers were also slightly injured because the man resisted his arrest.
No other details on the incident were immediately available.
