Maruti Suzuki has sold over 13 lakh vehicles through its Nexa retail channel. The milestone was achieved in just over 5 years of its launch.
In 2015, Nexa sales accounted for 5% of the brand’s total sales. In 2020-21, this number rose to 19%. Since 2017-18, Nexa ranks no. 3 among all OEMs. In 2020, Nexa dealerships sold over 2.3 lakh cars.
The models sold through the Nexa retail channel include the Ignis, Baleno, Ciaz, S-Cross and XL6. According to Maruti, the S-Cross has contributed to 104% sales growth, which has helped the company increase its market share in the UV segment. With the XL6, Maruti increased its market share in the MPV segment from 40% to 58%.
The Ciaz has been the best-selling sedan in its segment from 2016 to 2020. More than 8 lakh units of the Baleno were sold in less than 5 years, becoming the fastest model to reach the milestone.
